Academic | Ambivalent | Links

October 23, 1996: This site is undergoing a major upgrade.

The site has essentially two parts, which mirrors my own deep-seated ambivalence about oh, so many things. One part, and the only thing I really ever had here before, is stuff pertaining to my academic studies which center on religio-spirituality. It is good, valid material. It is all text. No bells 'n whistles. The new stuff is I guess a bit more personal, flashy, and is undoubtedly more boring and self-serving, possibly even embarrassing.

Through no fault of my own I have been able to undergo a major hardware and software upgrade. Hence, I have for the first time truly seen the Web. Its a lot of fun, if slow at times. Ok, most of the time. Anyway, such exposure, and such equipment demands that I spruce up, maintain, and basically spend too much time on my own site. But I am justifying this under the rubric of "release the text".

The last and rather static version of this site was presented in both a "frames" and "no frames" option. I've decided I don't really like frames. I've also decided it takes a lot of time to really maintain a site. Again, under the rhetoric of "release the text" I don't really care if this is displayed properly on your browser or not. No offense. For instance, if you are using Explorer you should hear music now and on the two main menu pages. If you are using Netscape you don't. Life is rough.

History

October, 1996: New equipment. Frame options deleted. Introduction of multimedia elements. Two sections, "academic" and "ambivalent". Academic has previous material and is in flux. Ambivalence has sound and image for now, video and non-academic writing soon.

April, 996: Major overhaul.

April, 1995: Site established.

This site is made with a variety of tools: Ken Nesbitt's WebEdit, Macromedia's Extreme 3D and XRes (watch for Director movies and Shockwave soon!), Microsoft's Word and PowerPoint, and Voyetra's Digital Orchestrator Plus.
